5,0 on Google · read the reviewsWe are Sanne and Bart. In 2019 we bought this country house: light limestone, at the end of a gravel road, with four hectares of olive trees around it. The shutters hung crookedly and a fig tree grew through the roof of the barn.
Three years later, the first guests slept in what is now called the Figuier. We've turned it into three independent stays, each with its own kitchen, terrace, and entrance. You do your own thing here, even if you don't get up until eleven o'clock.
The pool is located behind the old barn, out of the wind and in the sun all day, and is heated from April. Furthermore, there is plenty of space: four hectares of olive grove with a path around it, a long table under the plane tree and shade enough to get through the hottest hours.
What we do do ourselves is have breakfast, on request and on your own terrace: bread from the bakery in the village, jam from our apricots and cheese from the market in Apt. And if you want to know where to go that day, feel free to ask.
That's the beauty of this region: within half an hour you are in Bonnieux, Gordes or Roussillon.

Four acres of olive grove, lavender behind the house, and fields that change color with the season. The pool is out of the wind, there is a long table under the plane tree and there is a place in the shade everywhere. You don't have to leave the domain if you don't want to, and most guests don't on the hottest days.

When the lavender is gone, the field next to the driveway is yellow.

The village around the corner, built against the slope. Bakery, two terraces and a market on Fridays.
Gordes and Roussillon
Two of the most beautiful villages in France, both in less than half an hour. Go for the aperitif, stay for the food.
Avignon
The Palace of the Popes and the bridge, fifty minutes drive. Good for a day when it may rain.
Around the Luberon
Flat country roads along the olive groves and vineyards. You can rent bicycles from us, with or without support.
Mont Ventoux
For those who want to make the climb: an hour and a half drive to Bedoin and then up.
The cedar forest
From the gate a round of an hour, or the cedar forest on the ridge for half a day.
Market in apt
Every Saturday morning, one of the largest in Provence. Vegetables, cheese, olives and far too many people.

Lavender in July
From the end of June to mid-July, the fields on the plateau are in bloom, a 45-minute drive away.
The Sorgue at Fontaine

Asked out the door
In July and August, it is still fresh before nine o'clock. The best time for the ochre paths at Roussillon.

The sitting room stays cool with thick walls, books, and a fridge with something to drink.
